 ? Properties and Uses: colorless transparent liquid, with water and most organic solvents, is a polar solvent. Boiling point of 166oC, the melting point-20oC, relative density (d420) 0.9429, refractive index (nD20) 1.4373, flash point of 70oC (open cup). Mainly used for medicine, polyamide resins, solvents and pesticides are also used for separation of styrene from the C8 distillation extractive distillation solvent. Also widely used in polymer film, and paint. Medicine and pesticides currently used on a large number of synthetic antibiotics and pesticides. Dimethylacetamide non-polar aprotic solvent, many organic reactions is an excellent solvent. Can also be used as catalyst and synthetic raw materials.
